The Windows app scans only folders you choose, including their subfolders. It compares local files without uploading them. Recycle Bin support varies on network and removable storage; backup and synchronized folders require extra care.

Start with a small folder

1. Select or drag in folders.
2. Optionally protect important subfolders.
3. Scan and inspect each duplicate group, thumbnail and full path.
4. Move selected copies to the Recycle Bin and keep the CSV audit report.

Safety first

Protection rules come first. Detected projects, package environments and system locations are excluded, and every group keeps at least one copy. Equal content does not mean a copy has no purpose.

Permanent deletion is a separate, high-risk file-only option. It cannot be undone and is never a fallback for a failed Recycle Bin operation.

Requirements and updates

Windows 10 or 11. No separate Python installation. You can choose a desktop shortcut during installation. In-app update checks verify the installer size and SHA-256 before asking you to install.
